THE ASSOCIATED PRESS REPORTED TODAY FROM SAN JOSE, COSTA RICA, THAT THE PUBLIC REGISTRAR HAD REFUSED TO RECORD A DEED FOR THE TENORIO PLANTATION PROPERTY IN THE NAME OF THE REFUGEE ECONOMIC CORPORATION FOR USE AS A COLONIZATION

PROJECT. THE ACTION WAS BASED, THE A.P. SAID, ON THE GROUND THAT THE OBJECTIVE OF THE COMPANY WAS IN CONFLICT WITH THE NATIONAL SOVEREIGNTY OF COSTA RICA. THE QUESTION RAISED WILL BE TAKEN TO THE SUPREME COURT, THE DISPATCH ADDED.

BRUNO SCHACHNER, ASSISTANT SECRETARY OF THE CORPORATION, SAID IN NEW YORK HIS OFFICE HAD NO INFORMATION REGARDING THE REPORTED ACTION.
