A BARRAGE OF STONES FROM A HOSTILE CROWD OF 8,000 TODAY FELLED SIR OSWALD MOSLEY, LEADER OF THE BRITISH UNION OF FASCISTS, SENDING HIM TO A HOSPITAL WITH A BRAIN CONCUSSION. A ROCK PUNCTURED SIR OSWALD’S SKULL AS HE ATTEMPTED TO SPEAK FROM A PLATFORM ON A TRUCK.

MORE THAN A SCORE OF SPECTATORS WERE INJURED WHEN 250 POLICE RUSHED THE CROWD IN AN ATTEMPT TO DISPERSE IT. ABOUT A DOZEN ARRESTS WERE MADE.
