FRESH ANGLO-ITALIAN TENSION MAY RESULT FROM THE PALESTINE DISORDERS, IT WAS PREDICTED HERE TODAY, AS FRENCH OBSERVERS COMMENTED UNEASILY ON PREMIER BENITO MUSSOLINI’S ALLEGED PROPAGANDA AMONG THE ARABS AND HIS “DREAM OF COMPLETE MASTERY” OVER THE MEDITERRANEAN.

THE NOTED COMMENTATOR PERTINAX ASSERTED IN THE NEWSPAPER ECHO DE PARIS THAT DURING RECENT WEEKS THE IMAN YAHYA OF YEMEN AND LIBYAN NOTABLES “TURNED TOWARD MUSSOLINI AND URGED HIM TO ASSUME THE ROLE OF PROTECTOR OF THE ARABS, WHOSE RIGHTS ARE BEING VIOLATED IN PALESTINE.”

“THE REPERCUSSIONS IN PALESTINE MAY EASILY AGGRAVATE THE ANGLO-ITALIAN DIFFERENCES,” PERTINAX ADDED.

ACCORDING TO THE CATHOLIC ORGAN L’AUBE, “MUSSOLINI’S DREAM OF COMPLETE MASTERY OVER THE MEDITERRANEAN FROM GIBRALTAR TO SUEZ IS BEING GIVEN FORM AND SHAPE IN INSANE GESTURES.”

MUSSOLINI “WANTS TO TRY BRITISH PATIENCE TO THE LIMIT,” THE CATHOLIC ORGAN ADDED.
