The Association of Blind Musicians and Piano Tuners was expelled today from the Austrian Union of Societies for the Blind for refusing to rescind an amendment to its constitution barring Jews as members. The action followed warning that the association would be ousted unless the “Aryan paragraph,” which was held to create a dangerous precedent, was expunged from its statutes. The Government has sanctioned the amendment, which was adopted last June.
