Czernowitz Jews Ordered to Keep Stores Open on Sabbath; Doctors Curbed

The Governor of Czernowitz today ordered Jewish shops to keep open on the Sabbath and all Jewish holidays.

The Bucharest Medical Board decided today not to grant licenses to new physicians not of “Rumanian ethnical origin” pending revision of citizenships. All doctors were requested to give details concerning where they were born and studied for examination by a special commission.

The government has concluded an electoral pact with the German party, whose candidates will appear in the Government list in next month’s elections. The German Party has been allotted fourteen seats in the next Parliament.
