The Evening Standard reports from Rome today that severe orders to halt the anti-Semitic campaign have been issued by the Government to newspapers.

Referring to the recent statement on Jews in Informazione Diplomatica, official organ of the Italian Foreign Office, the Evening Standard declares: “Mussolini would like to see the Jews of Palestine transplanted to Abyssinia, where it is believed he would be glad to give them land. Such a move, it is said, would solve forever the Palestine problem, leaving that land to the Arabs and would bring new capital to Italy’s new empire.”
