Leipzig Stock Exchange Bars Jews

Jews will henceforth be barred from the Leipzig Boerse, according to a decree issued today by the Central German Stock Exchange. This is the first time that such a sweeping measure has been applied to Jews in stock trading.

The Hamburg Chamber of Commerce and Industry has ordered Jewish firms not to sign letters, “Heil Hitler” or “Mit Deutschen Gruess” (“with German greeting”), explaining that the use of such phrases might deceive the recipients regarding the writer’s race.

The Bavarian town of Bamberg was today added to a list of communities forbidding Jews to use municipal baths.
