Rumanian Zionist leaders were informed by Eliahu Doskin, of the Jewish Agency’s immigration department in Palestine, that immigration possibilities would be extended to agriculturists with small capital and to youths between the ages of 14 and 17.
At a conference of representatives of all Zionist parties in Rumania, convened to discuss intensification of emigration of Rumanian Jews to Palestine, Mr. Dobkin declared special attention would be paid to increasing Rumanian exports to the Holy Land. Mr. Dobkin reported on the political and economic conditions in Palestine.
The conference adopted a resolution urging abolition of the political maximum principle as a yardstick for immigration to Palestine and restoration of the economic absorptive capacity principle. It decided that all questions on emigration of Rumanian Jews would be dealt with by the recently organized Supreme Zionist Council, representing all Zionist parties in Rumania.
