The British Government’s arbitrary restriction of immigration was declared today irreconcilable with the July, 1937, White Paper, in a letter to The Times by David Ben Gurion, chairman of the Jerusalem executive of the Jewish Agency for Palestine. The White Paper, Mr. Ben Gurion pointed out, conferred on the Jews the power of full immigration control in the proposed Jewish area as compensation for limitation of the Jewish National Home.
