Jakob Ehrlich, who until Anschluss was the only Jewish member of the Vienna Municipal Council, died yesterday in the Dachau concentration camp near Munich, according to notification sent to his wife by the police today. The cause of his death was not known here. It was understood his body might be brought to Vienna for burial.
It was also learned today that Johann Kotanyi, prominent Viennese Jewish manufacturer, who was confined in the concentration camp on April 10, died ten days ago. A few days before his death he wrote to his family, saying that he was in good health.
Hermann Leopoldi, the Jewish composer and comedian, died yesterday at the age of about sixty. He was reported to have committed suicide.
Wolf Pappenheim, a leader of the orthodox Agudath Israel, has died here at the age of 90. He was co-founder of the famous Schiff Synagogue.
