The House Appropriations Committee today recommended a appropriation of $50,000 for the expenses of American participation in the international committee on political refugees. The Budget Bureau originally recommended $72,500 contemplating one year’s work. The committee cut the figures in the hope that the work of the American delegates can be concluded in less than a year.
