Austria’s Nazi regime decreed today that Jewish pupils must not be taught in the same classes as “Aryans” in Vienna beginning next September, the Havas News Agency reported. Jewish pupils of both sexes are forbidden to attend normal schools and business colleges reserved for non-Jews.

The number of Jews to be admitted to secondary and business schools is limited to two per cent of the total. There will remain in Vienna only one Jewish secondary school and one Jewish business school. The Vienna edition of Chancellor Hitler’s Voelkischer Beobachter said that as a result of the ruling only 450 Jews of the 6,000 now attending secondary schools in this city would be able to continue their education.
