The news-Chronicle reported from Berlin that a middle-aged spinster whose shop was among those defaced Saturday with the painted inscription “Jew,” instead of removing it simply added the words, “whose two brothers died in the war fighting for Germany.” when she refused a police order to remove the sign, the spinster was arrested and has not been heard of since.
