Arriving from Hollywood, Eddie Cantor, the radio and screen star, today revealed plans for a month’s stay in London where he will attempt to raise at least $100,000 for the Youth Aliyah movement. Mr. Cantor, accompanied by his wife, will sail July 6 on the Queen Mary. He was met at the train by Mrs. David de Sola Pool, vice-president of Hadassah, and went directly to the Sherry-Netherland where he met with members of the organization to lay plans for his British tour.

“English Jews are just as anxious as their American brethren to help transfer Jewish children to Palestine,” Mr. cantor said. “Most of these young people must leave Austria, Germany and Poland immediately. At least 1,500 children have already applied for removal from Austria within the last two months.” He disclosed plans for a series of meetings in London and other English cities arranged by a committee of British women headed by the Marchioness of Reading, Lady Sassoon, Viscountess Samuel and Mrs. Anthony de Rothschild.
