The Government of Victoria was reported today planning introduction of legislation preventing refugee doctors from practicing in that province by requiring completion of a five-year course before licensing. The action is due to fears of an influx of doctors who are permitted to qualify in great Britain after a 15-month course but are not permitted to practice there.
