Japan will soon join Italy in espousing the racial theories of the Reich and waging war on the Jews, Nazi circles predicted today. Two eminent Japanese are due here next month “to study the Jewish question,” it was indicated.

Ob servers believed that these moves on the part of two other members of the Berlin Rome-Tokyo alliance heralded an international offensive on the part of the Reich against world Jewry along the lines of its vast anti-Bolshevist campaign. In fact anti-Communism has been played down latterly in favor of anti-Semitism.

The Reich press has been joyfully proclaiming the victory for Nazi racial theories in Italy. Members of the Japanese colony here are now being reproached if they have Jewish landlords, patronize Jewish shops or employ Jews.

Toward the middle of August, Dr. Ishi Bashi, chief of the German-Japanese Medical Society, and Tesuo Hisada, Japanese publicist, are due here, according to Nazi circles, to occupy themselves with the Jewish question.

Dr. Alfred Rosenberg, chief Nazi “theoretician” announced today in Chancellor Hitler’s Voelkischer Beobachter that anti-Semitism was developing in many countries, and notably in Poland and Hungary; he added that there were encouraging signs of its development in France, Great Britain, and the United States. The Reich press is also featuring news from Palestine, showing much interest in the conflict waged by the Arabs against the Jews. Rosenberg recoil wrote an article on the “universal” domination of the Jews. Up to the present the term “universal” has been applied rather to Bolshevism. The general argument in the new campaign is that world jewry is financing adversaries of the third Reich.

Some quarters believed that Italy’s adherence to the German racial theories presaged A possible Germano- Italian racial campaign in the arab world. there are also indications that a similar campaign is being planned in the Anglo-Saxon world and the south American countries.
