Mexican Officials Support Immigration of Refugees

The Mexican Government is sympathetic to immigration of Jewish refugees from Germany, Minister of Interior Garcia Teyes and Francisco Rejo, head of the Population Department, told a Jewish delegation which visited them separately. “I am an enthusiastic supporter of immigration,” the Interior Minister said, “but the immigration must be selected, adapted to the needs and interests of the country.” Mr. Rfjo lauded Jewish contributions in Palestine and European countries.
