Granting of new trade licenses was suspended today until further notice by a Government order which referred to the “Jew law.” The order is considered by business circles as the first step in introducing the 20 per cent numerous Clausus for Jews in trade licenses to prevent a mass influx of dismissed Jewish employes into independent trade in competition with non-Jewish merchants.
