March 12 Set As Deadline for Post-war Jews to Leave Italy

March 12, 1939, was set today as the deadline by which postwar Jewish immigrants must comply with the Italian Cabinet’s expulsion decree of Sep. 1. The decree, bearing the signatures of King Victor Emmanuel and Premier Benito Mussolini, was published in the official gazette.

The Italian Government today expelled MicZolaw Wajnryb, Jewish correspondent of the Polish newspaper association, Warszawska Informacja Prasawa.
