The Jews of Germany were called upon to “look forward to new places where Jewish youth is preparing new homes, thereby giving hope for a new life to the older generation as well,” in a New Year message issued by the Reichsvertretung der Juden in Deutschland, central Jewish representative body.

“It is true that it is a slow process and a difficult way,” the message said, “but everything durable requires time and demands construction stone by stone. We Jews are used to waiting. Patience is our strength.”

Appealing to the Jews to keep their faith and educate their children in the spirit of the Jewish religion, the message concluded: “Let us be with God and God will be with us.”
