Hungarian Catholic Girls Offer to Clean Synagogue

Catholic working girls in the western Hungarian city of Sporon have offered to clean a Jewish school building and the entrance to a synagogue there which had been spattered by mud thrown by “vile individuals.” In a letter to Dr. Max Polak the local chief rabbi, the Association of Catholic Working Girls said they wanted to “serve our Christian Catholic spirit” with an action that would put to shame the perpetrators of it
