The Netherlands Government is protesting to Germany against destruction of Dutch Jewish shops in Berlin, Cologne and Aachen and is claiming damages.
Dutch Nazis have destroyed a Jewish children’s home near the Belgian border, it was learned here today.
Premier Hendrikus Colijn on Friday told Parliament that the Government would take strong measures to combat anti-Jewish activities in the Netherlands. His announcement, made in reply to demands voiced by all parties except the Nazi, included a vigorous denunciation of anti-Semitism. The Amsterdam Ashkenazi Jewish Community has telegraphed an appeal to Premier Colijn for admission to Holland of Jewish refugees from Germany.
