The interdicted Palestine Arab Supreme Council charged Britain tonight with seeking to sabotage the projected London peace conference in order to impose its own will on Palestine. An eight-paragraph manifesto applauded Britain’s desire to seek peaceful solution of the Palestinian problem, but denied the Jews’ right to participate in the talks and declared that the issue could be settled only on the basis of a national Arab pact. On the other hand, enemies of the Mufti’s policy sent a warm note of congratulation to Colonial Secretary MacDonald and High Commissioner MacMichael.
