A Dijon court sentenced two Frenchmen to jail terms of two weeks and two months, respectively, and ordered them to pay 5,000 francs in damages for inciting a mob to demolish a Jewish store in Dijon. The incident occurred on the day after signing of the Munich pact, the defendants spurring the mob to attack the shop by charging that the owner, a man named learner, had shouted, “long live War!”
