Australian Premier Regrets Wells Attacks on Hitler, Mussolini

Prime Minister Joseph A. Lyons today expressed regret that H.G. Wells, noted British author, had made disparaging remarks about Chancellor Adolf Hitler and Premier Benito Mussolini in an interview here. Wells told newspapermen that “Hitler is certifiable as a lunatic and Mussolini is a fantastic renegade from social democracy.”
