It was reported here today that an anti-Jewish measure has been submitted to the Premier’s office which would, over a fixed period, eliminate Jews from participation in the nation’s economic life, particularly from the legal and medical professions. Some papers assert that the measure emulates the Hungarian anti-Jewish bill , under which Jews would be restricted to seven per cent participation in Hungary’s economic and cultural life, while others declare it is modelled after the Nazi Nuremberg laws. Exemptions would be provided for those whose ancestors had always acknowledged Czech nationality as well as for Jewish members of the Czech Legion during the War.
