Prof. Albert Einstein, who will be 60 years old tomorrow, disclosed today that he was at work on a new theory which might afford a solution of the problem of a single unifying force in physics. He said he discovered the solution a year ago and was now engaged with two collaborators in “developing the results to a point where they could be checked by experimental facts.” In a birthday statement, the exiled German Jewish scientist expressed pleasure at the prospect of becoming an American citizen next year.
