The Rumanian steamship Sandu arrived here yesterday from Palestine with 269 refugees, who were barred from the Holy Land on the ship’s arrival there. The authorities were reported to be preventing the refugees from disembarking for lack of proper documents. On its return voyage from Palestine, the vessel touched at Turkish and Greek ports, but the refugees were not permitted to land.
