While promising “careful attention” to suspicious formations, Home Secretary Sir Samuel Hoare today rejected a Liberal Opposition request for a Government inquiry into alleged “pro-Nazi” organizations operating in England.

The demand was made by Geoffrey Mander, Liberal M.P., who charged in the House of Commons that the following organizations in Britain receive official support from the Reich Government: The Anglo-German Fellowship, the Anglo-German Kameradschaft, the Anglo-German circle; the Anglo-German Academic Bureau, and a periodical, “The Anglo-German Review,” which Mander termed a “pro-Nazi” magazine.
