Germany has laid down a methodical plan for the “Germanization” of Bohemia-Moravia by compelling Czechs to emigrate to Germany proper while more and more Germans pour into the protectorate, it was reported here tonight.

A German commissioner has been placed at each tax-collection office to keep close control of Czech fortunes. Plans have been made for progressive transfer of all Jewish wealth, valued at several million dollars, “Aryan” hands.

One of the most important Czech banks, Zivnostenka Banka, is attempting to acquire much of the Jewish property. However, the Bohemian Discount Bank, thanks to its connection with the Dresdner Bank, has all the advantages, particularly in the foreign exchange field, and can place difficulties in the ways of Czech-controlled competitors.
