MacDonald Promises ‘Practicable Action’ on Guiana

Colonial Secretary Malcolm MacDonald promised today that the Government would limit itself to "strictly practicable action" in aiding refugee settlement in British Guiana and would keep in mind the needs of the West Indian population. He replied to questions by Philip Noel Baker and Stanley Reed in the House of Commons.
