Senator King Calls Policy “betrayal”

Senator William H. King, in a speech on the Senate floor, on Friday announced Britain’s Palestine decision as a “betrayal of the Jews.” A cabled appeal to Prime Minister Chamberlain to abide by the Balfour Declaration was sent over the signatures of William Green, John L. Lewis, Senators Robert F. Wagner and Theodore F. Green, Mayor Fiorello H. LaGuardia and others.
