An official in the Dutch Economics Ministry who is reportedly a Jew was today the recipient of a high German decoration, awarded in the name of Chancellor Adolf Hitler by Reichs Economics Minister Walter Funk at a luncheon given by the German Ambassador. The official, who was given the Cross of Merit of the Order of the German Eagle, is Dr. H.M. Hirschfeld, general director of the trade and industry department in the State Department of Economics.
