The War Office announced today that it is shortly withdrawing one infantry brigade, with supporting arms, from Palestine to Egypt. The announcement said the move, under consideration for some time, was made possible by the improved condition in the Holy Land.

The Palestine disturbances will cost the Government an added expenditure of £1,180,000, it was disclosed in the House of Commons. The supplementary estimates are in addition to £1,000,000 allocated in the original budget for that purpose.
