An attempt by a band of 50 Memel storm troopers to stage an anti-Semitic pogrom in the Lithuanian village of Kretinga was foiled by vigilant bor## guards, it was reported here today.

The Nazis, attempting to cross the border at Bajori, told the guards they were Lithuanians who wanted to attend the funeral of a little girl assertedly killed by Jews at Kretinga. Investigation showed there had been no murder and that the alleged mourners were disguised storm troopers plotting a pogrom.
