Provisional results in Sunday’s election of delegates to the forthcoming Zionist Congress indicated today that the Poale-Zion (laborites) had obtained at least 60 per cent of the total vote cast. The General Zionists “B” were in the lead in Galicia.

In several cities in the Warsaw district, it was reported, district and local authorities prohibited the elections at the last minute, demanding written permission from the central authorities, whereupon the balloting was postponed to next Sunday. In Warsaw, the elections went off without incident, a high percentage of the Jewish population participating.
