A measure providing for an investigation to determine the extent of illegal immigration to the United States has been approved by the Senate Immigration Committee. Submitted by Senator Rufus C. Holman (Rep., Ore.) it would empower the investigating committee to recommend any steps needed to tighten the immigration laws.
