Warning that intra Jewish conflict over the methods of fighting Britain s Palestine policy might create “a second Spain” in the Holy Land, Dr. Chaim Weizmann today urged that the Zionists “not break abruptly the 20 years partnership with England. “In an address to a conference of the General Zionist A faction, the Zionist chieftain cautioned that a civil war might result from differences over tactics in resisting the British White Paper. “Many would like to see in Palestine a second Spain,” he said. “This however would be our end. Therefore everything must be done to prevent it.”
