Dr. Alexander Dushkin, former director of the Chicago Bureau of Jewish Education, who recently arrived here from Palestine where he served as Professor of Education at the Hebrew University, has been named executive director of the New York Committee for Jewish Education, which is expected to begin functioning next year.
The committee, headed by Supreme Court Justice Samuel I. Rosenman, will coordinate the activities of various local groups interested in Jewish learning. It will seek to expand education activities and to aid in the financing of Jewish education.
