Myron C. Taylor, American vice-chairman of the Intergovernmental Committee on Refugees, has called a meeting of the President’s Advisory Committee on Political Refugees in New York on Thursday, the State Department announced today. The advisory committee will lay the groundwork for the White House refugee conference on Oct. 16 and 17.
Members called to the New York meeting are James G. McDonald, chairman, Archbishop Joseph F. Rummel, Hamilton Fish Armstrong, Prof. Joseph P. Chamberlain, Basil Harris, Dr. Stephen S. Wise, Louis Kennedy, Paul Baerwald and James Speer.
