High tribute to Jewish soldiers and officers participating in the defense of the beleaguered Polish capital was paid today in a statement issued by the Polish Embassy. The Embassy said it had received an S.O.S. from Warsaw urging that food and medical relief be rushed “for Jews and Poles who are heroically defending the capital.”
