The Ministry of Information announced today that E.J. Lewis, superintendent of the Animal Hospital in Jerusalem, was murdered with his Arab orderly on Sunday. The announcement said that the two men were fired on by bandits outside the city while they were making their regular rounds to treat sick animals in Arab villages. The killers were tracked down with the aid of dogs. One villager was arrested and several bandits were believed wounded in an exchange of shots.
