German Broadcast Blames Jews for War

An English-language broadcast from Hamburg, Germany, declared that Jews and refugees had caused the war. It declared that while Englishmen were enlisting, “low-class aliens” were taking jobs and profiting from the war. Attacking Britain’s White Paper on treatment of prisoners in German concentration camps, the announcer said the British Government had finally revealed its war aims–that it was “fighting for the Jews.”
