Hertzog Takes Leadership of African Group Linked with Anti-semite

General J.B.M. Hertzog, after resigning as Prime Minister of South Africa and withdrawing from the executive committee of the United Party when defeated in his neutrality policy, has announced that he has assumed leadership of “reconsolidated Afrikanerdom.” Dr. D.F. Malan, Nationalist leader, who has been identified with anti-Semitic agitation in the Union, will serve under him.
