Czech Refugee, George Singer, to Conduct Palestine Orchestra

George Singer, young Czech Jewish refugee conductor, who formerly conducted opera at Prague, Hamburg and Bremen, has been engaged to conduct the next concert of the Palestine Symphony Orchestra. The orchestra, which is composed almost entirely of refugee musicians, will mark on Dec. 26 the third anniversary of its first performance.
