The Jewish Chronicle reports that ex-Premier Leon Blum of France conferred with Dr. Chaim Weizmann and other members of the World Zionist Executive during his visit to London last week. Blum, the weekly said, obtained information on the Zionist political situation and on the actual position in Palestine as affected by the war.

The French statesman, the Chronicle reported, expressed confidence that difficulties with regard to Palestine could be overcome with patience and mutual understanding. It is understood that Blum and other French statesmen are sympathetic to creation of a Jewish unit in the Allied armies, the magazine said.
