Instructions not to press for expulsion orders against illegal immigrants have been issued to public prosecutors in Palestine police courts, it was learned today. This was revealed when the case of two illegal Jewish immigrants was brought before Magistrate Burke here. The accused were sentenced to pay a fine of £ 25 each or serve one month in prison, but the customary recommendation for deportation was omitted, the prosecuter explaining he was acting upon special instructions from police headquarters.
