Ex-War Secretary Leslie Hore-Belisha today resigned as chairman of the National Liberal Party but is expected to continue his party membership. Sir John Simon, Chancellor of the Exchequer, and other participants in the party meeting paid tribute to Hore-Belisha, who replied that he would do everything in his power in active prosecution of the war.
