The executive committee of the Jewish National Council has conferred with representatives of local councils on economic defense measures to meet the emergency, it was disclosed today. It was decided to invite representatives of the Jewish Farmers’ Association and the Kofer Hayishub presidium to join in a special fund-raising drive.
Together with the Jewish Agency Executive, the National Council officials will approach the authorities to discuss emergency problems, it was understood.
