Urges Immigration Increase to Help Forge Pan-american Defense Front

Dorothy Thompson, New York Herald Tribune columnist, declared today that the United States must “greatly increase its population by immigration” in order to expand the market for South American products, which, she said, was necessary if the United States intended to reach a common economic policy with Latin America for defense purposes.
